Art and Media Art Honor Society- 2015 Induction
Today the Smithtown East chapter of the Art Honor Society and the Media Art Honor Society will hold their 2015 induction ceremony today in the little theater at 3:15 pm and we will also be presenting some of the senior art awards along with an pizza after party and gallery opening in room 161.
We had a great time on our field trip to the galleries in Chelsea last week so we'll also be putting together some of the photographs and video from the trip into our archives and talk about our favorite works..

Local Art: Wayne White
There is a great show that I saw this weekend from artist and creative magnet Wayne White at the Joshua Liner gallery in Chelsea. Wayne is a terrific artist with a plethora of skills, take a look at the preview to the documentary about him below: Beauty Is Embarrassing. Wayne's work is some of my favorite so I definitely recommend checking him out!

The final Art & Media Art Honor Society Field Trip of the school year was Friday and it was a great to to visit the galleries in Chelsea! We stopped in to see 8 different gallery exhibits, took a walk on the high line, and grabbed a great lunch at Chelsea Market. Today we will have the Art Honor Society after school in the little theater and induct our 15 new members.
