Film: PIXAR Animation Studios

In Film class we will finish examining Disney Animation Studios and look at Warner Brothers/Hanna Barbera, South Park Studios and PIXAR Animation Studios this week with a look at their director John Lasseter and the inner workings of the studio.  We will also review what we learned about Aardman Animations/DreamWorks Animation and Studio Ghibli before taking a quiz on Animation on Friday.

Here is a tremendous documentary about the work of some of the DreamWorks staff after their office hours entitled “Moonshine: Artists after dark”. It shows both a peek into their process and is evidence of the bridge across art and media in terms of creative people.
